Resistance Management Specialty (RMS)

The next available exam dates are February 5 - February 19, 2025.

You must hold a current CCA certification to be eligible to take the RMS exam.
Ontario CCAs will register for the Resistance Management Ontario Specialty Exam.

The RMS Certification has been developed to meet the growing demand for qualified advisers with focused knowledge and skills in pest and resistance management. It demonstrates the CCA’s proficiency in working with resistance management and building it into a holistic pest management plan.

The RMS Certification aligns with USDA-NRCS and US-EPA for pest management standards and allows the CCAs who advise on pest management to become more visible and recognized for their integrated systems, thinking, and approach to avoid development of resistance or alleviate resistance problems in order to meet the need for improved environmental stewardship.

Maintaining Certification

Once the RMS exam is passed, an annual fee will be charged in addition to your CCA renewal to maintain both certifications, and the minimum CCA CEU requirements increase from 5.0 credits to 10.0 credits for the Integrated Pest Management category.
